Rosie's Room
Through stages of her life a woman should feel amazing. It is such a journey whatever her path. We all have battles, some greater than others. From our teens it's a winding road and who better to support you than a family.
Something about Rose has become a family and through my journey I have met many customers over the years that now feel like family. I have customers that have suffered trauma, serious illness, lost children, husbands and parents. Suffered financial hardship and sadly domestic violence.
We have decided that now is the time that we help those that need us. We have launched a new project called "Rosie's Room".
Rosie's Room is a project where at Something about Rose we aim to support underprivileged teenage girls and victims of Domestic Violence by opening our doors to them once a month for a special shopping experience. They can come along and have styling advice, be pampered and take away a free outfit from our special donated selection from our suppliers.
This will be done on an application basis and we hope to develop the project wider over the next 12 months. It breaks my heart that teenagers scroll through social media and feel that they can't go to the party or non uniform day because they don't have the outfit to wear. Or the woman that is so scared for her life and her family's safety that she simply left one day with nothing to run to safety. We want to help change that.
We will continue to be a Beauty Bank and collect donations but we also with the support of our suppliers donate what is needed and also give style advice. 2025 will be the year that we reach out, help and support each other and women than need us.
